COVID-19

Business Update

Due to the ongoing situation with the coronavirus (COVID-19) and following the latest Government and NHS advice, Fastek Managed Print has implemented several new policies and working practices.

All of our decisions are driven by ensuring we protect the health and wellbeing of our employees, customers and the communities we serve. Accordingly, given the very latest advice and instructions from the UK Government, we are implementing the following actions aimed at reducing the risk of coronavirus (COVID-19) contamination:

  • As of Friday 03 April 2020, we have closed our offices. Fortunately, due to the way in which our business is set up, all but a very small number of employees have been able to work from home, so maintaining business continuity. This continuity includes the provision of all incoming calls to our service desk as well as being able to continue to fulfil any orders received.

  • We are now only able to attend service calls which relate to Healthcare, the Emergency Services and other “Key Services” as defined by the UK Government. Further to this, site attendance will only take place if deemed business-critical. Our engineers will be compliant and respectful of all current UK Government COVID-19 safety guidelines and we ask the same of you whilst we are in attendance. Unfortunately, this does mean that all other calls will be advised that we will not be able to attend until further notice. We have seen a dramatic reduction in incoming call and email volumes this week and as organisations around the country accelerate their own office closures, we expect this to fall further, minimising the direct impact to any of our customers.

  • We will continue to monitor your devices and provide remote support in accordance with service level agreements. Proactive, preventative and non-essential maintenance calls will be postponed until we return to work as normal.

  • Please note that our processes relating to fulfilment have been amended such that any orders will only be dispatched after we have contacted you to confirm that your business will remain open to accept the delivery.

To enable us to plan our resources and ensure that we can provide you with a safe and continuous service during this uncertain period, in the 1st instance, please can you email the service desk via: fts@fastek.co.uk

If you wish to be registered as a critical business and require any of our services or if you would like to discuss any of the enclosed please contact our Technical Service Director Mr. Neil J. Andrews: neil@fastek.co.uk

We are continuing to follow the guidelines provided by the Government as well as taking additional steps to ensure the safety of our customers, employees, partners and suppliers.

Our thoughts are with our staff, customers and their families throughout this difficult time.
